Charges Expected This Week In Milwaukee Toddler's Death

POSTED: 9:52 AM CST February 9, 2004

MILWAUKEE -- Charges could come this week in the death of a Milwaukee toddler.

The 18-month-old boy lived in a house on West Keefe with his mother, aunt and four other children.

Police went to the home Friday evening and found the toddler dead and another child severely malnourished.

Just take a look at how Bush*'s budget cuts money for child care, drug treatment, etc.

2. sorry...
starving a toddler to death can't be blamed on the federal government, no matter how hard you try.

3. True
saving a toddler's life can be credited to government funded social services programs though.

4. I dunno....
I think the government can better a child's life, certainly. But the primary responsibility for keeping a child alive and safe is that of the parents or other caretakers.

I can't imagine WHAT kind of government program would be necessary to save this child's life. Do we need a public awareness program reminding parents that they have to feed their kids occasionally?

There are sick fucks in the world, and unfortunately, they sometimes have children. This poor child suffered a horrible death not because of lack of government funding, but because he was starved by his caretakers.

5. Exactly.
On Milwaukee TV station, they showed one of the women in court, (didn't show her face yet,) and she made Ann Coulter look fat.

It looks like this family has serious problems with drugs.
