Any update on the Gov. Rowland (R-CT) mess?
Just curious, as it hasn't been in the national media lately.

I did send him an email a few minutes ago urging him to resign in the face of ethics charges. By the way, address is
Governor.Rowland@po.state.ct.us

Is his ousting from office any closer to reality at this point?

1. I haven't heard any new news
However, I've seen lawn signs around demanding he resign. Made me smile anyway. This guy had zero ethics.

2. not lately
They have convened a legislative commission to look into if impeachment is warranted... even though the state House has a Dem majority, they made the commission 5-5.

However, Rowlando has spent the last 9 years pissing on or ignoring a lot of the state Republicans. So, they're not too happy with him.

3. That's interesting
I suppose the 5-5 is to avoid the appearance of partisan motivation for impeachment hearings if they agree to go through with them... pretty good idea. It's a shame more states and the feds don't use that same model.

it was sentenced for 37 years, but was drawing benefits, possibly salary, while he was in jail ...

would they have done that for everybody?

The BBC can, in 5 minutes, give news on a variety of subjects which will never be seen on Faux/CNN/CBS/NBC-GE/ABC etc., ... ever ... Our media is too busy doing things they don't need to be doing ... and, keeping the scope narrow
