I remember a recent thread in the Lounge to the effect -- what will we all do the day after the election. I can only hope that I'll be popping the cork on that chilled bottle, and inviting whomever might like to visit over for a sip, as we begin the slow recovery from the Bush administration.

The next eleven months and eleven days can't pass quickly enough for any of us.

there's a nice vintage at Costco that I've had my eye on, but $35 is too much for me ordinarily. However, I think the election returns on November 2nd will call for a real celebration.

I remember I had to go to work really early the next day, so I went to bed before the election had been called. My roommate gently knocked on the door and said, "I just thought you'd want to know, Clinton won." I went back to sleep and had the most restful night. Unfortunately, I've not experienced that for the past 3 years.
