WaPoo! now want's your e-mail and subscription to get access. They have |

annoyed me with "pop ups" and stuff when I try to read an article there, which used to crash my Netscape 4.7. I upgraded to Netscape 7.1 and still their annoying graphics and seize ads caused me problems. (SORRY ON EDIT! "Washingon Post" for those who don't know our weird DU Acronym for them. Mods please understand, I think they are POO...except for some few Columnists they have which support Dem position.)
NOW....they want me to give them my e-mail address so they can attack my adware and virus program?
They are disgusting. For the two or three folks I read as Columnists on their site, is it worth it for the frustration?
I think there's something sleazy about their "online site." I didn't mind giving "LA Times" and "NY TIMES" my e-mail addy...but I'm really angry about "Wa Poo!"
I think it's because I expected better from them, but I should have known when Howie Kurtz was their star that they were just the biggest whores on the block but wearing "acceptable" clothes.
A rant...just had to get that off my chest......What happened to them...that they are such TOADIES!

6. But, Grasswire, I've been going there for years, also. Tonight's the firs |
|
time I've been asked to give them my "e-mail addy" and register. About a year ago every time I logged on they asked my age and zip code. I always "fudged that one." But, I can't fudge my e-mail address, unless I try Jacobin's post. :D

5. Aren't they the site that asks |
|
for gender, dob and zipcode?
i've been every possible combination i can come up with over the last year, depending on how i feel that day...but i always get the story with whatever i give them...well, the wapoo story anyway. I guess it's an even trade. I'm lying, they are just espousing their pov.
If it's asking for my email, fergit it.

9. I always use the info they give as an example |
|
I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Trippy story tho- I didn't want to give Hotmail my correct info, so I put in 1/1/2000 as my bday, and they LOCKED my email account because I was "technically" a minor! I managed to fix it (by emailing them) but it was still freaky. I backed everything up on local-hd after that...
