18. He keeps asking Burkett to retrace his steps
i.e., describe the phone call (conference call) he overheard, asking that *'s records be scrubbed.

Also, he went through the trash, and personally saw the documents.

Tweety trying to hit him up because he's a dem.

And Burkett just swore to God and the American people that he is telling the truth.

head of the entire Air National Guard.

Mueller, head of the FBI, was lead prosecutor in the BCCI(the bank who laundered drug and arms money in Iran contra) who pretty much botched the entire case. He was appointed in 7-01 to the FBI job.

I wonder how many of Poppy and Dubyas partners in crime hold major appointments?

on edit: update Tweety says Karen Huhes and others asked to comment, 'were not available'; kind of funny, they are ALWAYS available to defend bush, but not this time. Guess it takes a lot to get the story straight between all of those that are involved, don't want any ?'s after the lies pour out!

We'll know if this has any impact if and when it is heard on any other news shows. I grant you, Hardball is a decent start, but if this creeps into CNN, regular MSNBC, or even ABC. CBS. or NBC, Nellie bar the door!

This Burkett said he had gone to some superiors in the Guard in 1997. Seems there's got to be a reason this is only surfacing now.

I HOPE it has legs....very long ones! I am just very wary.

63. credible but..........
Burkett claims three events.

Day one: in 1997 overheard speakerphone conversation between Bartlett, Albaugh, and James. James was being informed that Bartlett and Karen Hughes would be coming to review Bush's records to make sure nothing would embarrass the governor.

Day two: something he called "conveyance" -- I think that meant someone conveyed the news that the visit was going to happen.

Ten days later, he was in a room where there was a long table and a trash can, and in the trash can he saw file folders with Bush's name handwritten on them. He looked through the top papers and saw that they were Bush records -- performance records and some pay stubs.

But the question remains. Why would those records be trashed? Why wouldn't they be removed or destroyed by a shredder?

I believe Burkett fully. I'm just puzzled.

71. I think it makes sense...
Edited on Thu Feb-12-04 10:22 PM by Q
...that the 'Bush* Files' were thrown in the trash rather than shredded or destroyed in some other ominous way. Disgarded files in the trash look more 'routine' and less suspicious than people lurking around having shredding parties.

- There are many people such as this man that have come forward over the years to 'testify' about Bush's* horrible record and past. But as we saw with the 2000 campaign...they were quickly discounted as partisan or Bush* haters.

- But this is exactly how Nixon finally went down...as more and more people stepped forward to expose the pattern of lies and deceit.
