GOP Blames Clinton for Intel Lapse
In a sign of how Republicans may try to quell criticism of prewar intelligence in Iraq (news - web sites), the head of the House Intelligence Committee tried Wednesday to direct blame to the Clinton administration.

.....

Goss said the Clinton administration gutted intelligence assets in the 1990s and today's intelligence analysts "did the best they could with what they had."

Color me surprised. :P

Sorry if this is a dupe, I checked but probably missed an earlier thread.

2. what is the evidence that Clinton "gutted" intelligence agencies?
I keep hearing that Clinton "gutted" the military and intelligence agencies, without any proof of course. How do they justify saying this?

6. They need to be real careful with that kind of horse manure.
The last thing they want to do is make the Big Dawg come out of his house. He'll give them a two or three sentence sound bite that will put the whole issue in stark perspective and it will be all over the news for days.
