Is anyone starting to think that the Rethugs may dump Bush soon? |
|
I just have a feeling about this, but I think they are doing a "Nixon" on him. He has become too much of a liability. Don

I'm looking forward to beating him outright in the GE.

in your Fantasyland? It sounds wonderful!
Unfortunately, I am afraid you're dead wrong. But, now that you've brought it up, I'm going to put some energy into hoping like hell that you're right! :)

to do it. And, would be admitting failure. But dropping Cheney and getting another VP like McCain who really is very very conservative might do the trick for them or so they will think.

I think they're stuck with him. Cheney's another matter, though. I imagine he can decide not to run for "health problems."

It may well be that the rethug voters will dump him. We're energized, and more and more of them can't stand their candidate.

10. Not one chance in a billion |
|
The religious-wrong Rethugs adore the Chimp. Most of his base will stick with him no matter what. And those chumps always vote. Plus, they'll spend over $250 million to sell him to the gullible.
Enough so-called Democrats will vote for him because of his fictional "integrity" and "leadership after 9-11" that this race will be totally uphill for the Democratic nominee.
This is going to be a very rough election to win for our side.

There are cracks, but are they fatal? Oh pretty please!!!
It does seem like the rats are jumping, and the scaredy-cat corporate media whores and the scaredy-cat pink-tutu Democrats aren't so whoring and aren't so tutu'd anymore. (It has been a rara treat to listen to the grilling Scotty McLellan has been taking from the formerly somnambulent Washington press corps about the National Guard story.)

13. If they were going to dump him... |
|
... they'd need a candidate. And it's late in the primary season to groom someone now. It can't be done at the convention, or all their voters will have been disenfranchised by not being able to vote for the presidential candidate (remember, it's only OUR voters they want to disenfranchise ... for NOW![/i} *ominous music*), which could be disastrous in the G.E. No, they'll have Turd Blossom cook something up (like a rumor about a rumor about an affair someone may or may not have had in the '80s *cough cough*) to distract the swing voters. I 'spect they feel no need to dump Bush.

quite a few of the smarter ones know he's a disaster, and a huge mistake, and would love to see him out. I doubt there are enough of them, though. At least for now.
Forcing him out now would give us all Cheney, and them a huge loss at election time.
Looks like "liberal" Kerry's gonna run, and few core Repubs, certainly not the "permanent government," would take him over Shrub, so some of them might not work all that hard for Shrub, and a few might sit on the sidelines, but there won't be any major revolt.
If we get the House back, and they win with a decent VP with a chance to get reelected in '08, methinks many Repubs will silently back an impeachment, or at least sit on the sidelines.
Of course, this is rational thinking. The wingnuts have far too much control over the Republicans, and they don't seem rational but seem perfectly happy with their stooge.

The convention is coming up soon....
I hope they keep him. Just think, if they dump him they may put in a person who they can present as a "true" conservative that will bring confidence back to the voters.
Baaaa! Keep the idiot - I want to see him tremble in a debate with Kerry!
