I can't do this anymore...
My stomach is in knots. I had to sit through the news tonight in Denver and watch Marilyn Musgrave's (author of the FMA) face plastered all over the screen. I'm ashamed that Colorado elected such a Nazi.

I don't even think I can hold on to see if * loses. Part of me just wants to get the hell out of this country with my partner before it self destructs. So much hatred, so much pain. Makes me sick.

2. Fight, fight, fight!
Channel that anger into something useful -- talk to everyone you know. make sure they're registered. Take 20 people to the polls on election day.

We can win -- we WILL win!

4. I'm in Denver too... Stay and fight, please!
We can't afford to lose any liberal/progressives in this state. We HAVE to take it back from the RWer's, fundies, and biggots.

9. Colorado Springs was the birthplace of Amendment 2
and every other archaic, backwards, fundmentalist law in the state....the city is beautiful though.

6. I'm moving to SAN FRANCISCO.
In part because it's liberal, but mostly because I don't like Miami to live in, and I sure as heck don't like Florida enough to fight for it. (Sorry Floridians, I know there are a lot of good folks out here, but overall it's just flat, hot , buggy, and full of horrible drivers.)

Annd from Miami the distance you have to drive just to see a mountain, or get out of the heat, is unbelievable!

If you can't abide by your town. move to one of the liberal cities. Why leave the country?

8. liberalboy...
...I really don't blame you.

If I were in your position I would be looking at moving to another country as well.

Sapphocrat and I are not financially secure, so we are unable to get her out at this time, but if I could, I would be telling her to get the fuck out now, while she still can.

You know, you can move to another country and still be a political advocate for your country? Just because you move doesn't mean you give up with the right to vote. The only time that happens is if you decide to renounce your U.S. citizenship.

If being there has truly broken the fight in you, then you would be doing yourself a favor by leaving. You will get your spirit back, and with that, the fight to protect your rights as a human being.
