It's not about if a certain allegation or story is true, It's about how the allegation can hurt the target in the short-term (sow doubt in people, ruin their reputation, etc...) or if their lucky the long-term.

This is HOW the GOP media whores work.

And yes, the Republicans in Congress will not pass this plan in a million years, but those people are too ignorant to know that and will now probably be fooled into voting for it anyway. "

The problem is, they don't have a compliant corporate media that repeats anything they want them to. No FOX News, talk radio, or Weekly Standard to define the debate in their favor.
