Do you like CBS'S John Roberts?
I think he is fair & an excellent newsman. I think its obvious Dan Rather wants him to suceed him once he retires. I also think John is "One of Us".He is also very good at Winging it.He needed to fill in some time during the SOTU address last month & he was brilliant! Anyone else like him?

1. Me!
I love the way he backs up Helen Thomas, and his reporting about ServiceGate has been pretty strong.

2. I do.
He has given scathing reports about the cabal, and does not back down. I do appreciate, as stated by Anj, that he backs up Ms. Helen Thomas, as well.

6. He's still "JD Roberts" to me, the mulleted host of "The New Music."
That's the problem with coming from somewhere. Wish I could find an old pic of him to post.

Actually, I respected him more as a pop music interviewer than as a supposed "hard" newsman. He asked Crowded House tougher questions than he usually does the White House.

11. Very Hot!
I'll even give him a break for dying his hair a few months ago. The gray is much sexier.

5. he was the one who went after Scotty in today's press briefing
started in once about the first MTP question regarding AWOL, which Scott would NOT acknowledge, and there was back and forth similar to that of the other day

he brought it up just before the end, too.

good for him, but WHERE WERE THEY five years ago?

7. He is kick ass at Scotty's Press briefings.
The little I've heard him I think he is sharp as hell and a fighter. His will be the face of the new Media after the corporate whores are run out....uh, after Bush is deposed.

10. I believe
that at times the look on his face indicates that he would like to inject his personal opinion into a report when he is revealing some of the rove/bush criminal actions. If that look means anything-I don't think he likes the criminals.
