4. Friday night, too late for nightly news to do much
research. They are probably hoping it will die before the end of the long weekend.

7. If records come to the press after they have been filtered through the WH
they won't be worth shit.

The ONLY way to have this done appropriately is for W to sign a release, waiving his privacy rights, allowing the Air Force Records Center (or whatever it's officially called) to release his ENTIRE file to requesting parties (including EVERYTHING -- personal info, medical, disciplinary, the whole damn file, just as all other Pres candidates have done) Very simple -- all he has to do is sign one little form.

hmmmm.. junior must have been digging around in the closet and mysteriously "found" something :)

what a laugh..

three Shakespeare lines come to mind..

"...what a tangled web we weave..."
"...much ado about nothing..." nothing being his service
"...methinks he doest protest too much..."

10. I think the only suitable reply is the one the White House gave...
to Iraq when Saddam released 14,000 pages of info on WMD.

Ignore it, and implement regime change anyway!

13. They may have worked
overtime to fabricate records. They found "guardsmen" really fast who would say they had seen Shrub. Probably the guardsmen can retire wealthy. My cynicism grows with each day. And that is a terrible plight for me because I have always mostly trusted people. The citizens of this country should be able to trust someone who has attained the highest office in the land. Of course that doesn't apply here as he "won" the presidency by a vote of 5-4.

16. I know. What was it- 8,000 out of 14,000 were released?
By that ratio, we should expect a hundred pages or so of 'dental records' while Scott McClellan continues to claim that the issue is settled.

I smell a whitewash...

There might be something damaging in there and they figure it would be better to deal with it now then have it dribble out later.

15. my guess, too. they've had 5 or so days to read through stuff and make
the call. if it's nothing, they slide, if there's damaging pieces, they've worked their response(s) out.....they already knew the contents anyway, probably waiting to see how close the hounds would run before going for it. look for Karen's "touch".

25. If it's only SSN's and medical info about family,

that's fine. And we should be able to judge that by looking at it. Especially if there are people familiar with military forms of that era who look over them.
But basically, if there's a blanked out space, it better be a space labeled "Enter Social Security # HERE" or "Has anyone in your family ever had:" (list of diseases to be marked.)

20. Malveaux said there were Medical exams for 68, 70, 71
I'm not going to climb on Maxveaux for not being able to summarize 300 pages in 10 minutes of skimming. That said...

Malveaux said she saw records for medical exams in 1968, 1970, & 1971. Those aren't the years in question.

24. Yes, everyone please WRITE to Lou Dobbs and

tell him this. I just did -- and also complimented him on the great shows he's been doing about "free" trade and illegal immigration.

http://www.cnn.com/lou

There's a form e-mail there; I don't have an e-mail address for Lou, though I've seen it posted before.

I didn't say it, but if Malveaux is covering the White House, she ought to KNOW the dates. Ineptness or deliberate falsification?

26. Malveaux said that the the 71 medical records
showed that there were no health issues so it backs up the WH claims that the only reason * did not take a physical because he "decided he wasn't going to fly anymore so it wasn't necessary" Excuse me * gets to decide what he does or doesn't do in the military.

his pilot's status in good order. Many dollars when into training the fraud as well. He owed it to his country. And no, I didn't think the physical was optional either.
