FOX boycott
I am organizing a boycott of all FOX stations, from local stations to Faux News. This is mainly because FOX, and not Faux News, covered the Kerry lie from Drudge Report. Now, I personally don't like Kerry all that much, but saying that he has been disloyal to his wife without proof... Well, let's BOYCOTT 'EM!!! WOOO!!!

Any thoughts?

1. I've been
boycotting them for about 5 years now. There are very few shows on any of their channels worth watching.

3. Well, Simpsons is good.
And Boston Public. And... um ... Family Guy was good. And ... they show Drew Carey at 6:00 here. Even if it is by ABC.

What was my point?

4. I suppose you could go after sponsors... but really, given that
the only folks who regularly watch Faux are not going to be swayed by anything we say or do, I'm not sure how you can effectively boycott the stations.

Given the horrible things that Ann Coulter is allowed to say, not only on Faux, but MSNBC and others, which includes overt threats to entire population groups and the slanderous attacks on Max Cleland, going after her sponsors and anyone who allows her a tv/radio/print forum seems like a more direct objective. just my opinion...

7. That would work.
Just write the sponsors letters saying that until they pull their advertising dollars from Faux, you're not buying anything from them. With car companies, if you're a loyal customer, you could probably pay them upwards of a hundred thousand dollars during your lifetime, and they know it. I'm willing to stop buying Fords to make a point!

Of course, the fact that I only like Toyota and am 13 sorta makes it pointless.

6. The only way to effectively boycott Fox stations is to call your cable
or satellite company and ask for a package which does not include Fox. If they don't have one, cancel your subscription and write a letter to company headquarters telling them why you are doing so.

As long as you continue to pay, Fox couldn't care less whether you watch or not.

8. I agree...
let's go after the sponsers...does anyone know where to get a list of the companies that do business with them...???

Also...I for one am not a good letter writer...maybe someone here who is a good letter writer can draw up a form letter that we can all use to send to these sponsers...

and you know...it doesn't surprise me that most Faux stations and affiliates are picking up on this story...I haven't heard a thing from any other source...
