Bush* the robber baron... |
|
If there is any doubt that the Bush* regime is has any moral base, one only needs to consider this hypocrisy:
After September 11, 2001, the administration declared the Bush* pre-emption doctrine." We will advance against any foreign power that threatens our national interests.
In January, 2004 the Bush* budget commits the wealth of our nation to the boondoggle, missile defense program.
If we are going to pre-empt, isn't spending money of missile defense a give away of our nation's resources?

9/11 proved they don't need nukes. Just a way of making bush* look more like a "war president".

2. It's a pretext for land grabs |
|
You could interpret those statements to mean any nation that would supposedly threaten America's economic interests could be used as a pretext for invasion and war. Which fits right in with the Neo-con intention for world domination.
An example, the EU raising tariffs on some American products could be the pretext for invasion on accounts of the steep rise in the cost of that product. Another example would be oil being traded in Euros.
Most likely the real reason for the Iraq invasion, they just needed a better excuse than this.

3. True enough. And if our purpose is now preemption, |

shouldn't we rename the "Defense Dept." the "Offense Dept."? Seems that way to me.
But yes, the missile defense program and the low-yield nukes are the same as all the other bloated government "defense" spending. Just more excuses to hand public money to their friends.

He has stolen from education, the environment, social security, and medicare. He has only rewarded the defense contractors and oil companies. Shame on the middle and low income republican base, who willingly support this theft.
I certainly won't support Kerry or any other Democrat who doesn't spend the tax dollars to make our country a better place.
