Help! Need link for Bush and NY fire station story
Awhile back I saw a story on the network news about a New York firehouse that was key in cleaning up September 11th that was now out of business because Bush did not send some sort of promised funding. Does anyone else recall this story and have a link? I'm in a debate and used this for material, but now, of course, I'm being pressed for a link. Anybody?

2. Firehouse clean up
Edited on Sun Feb-15-04 02:32 PM by mac2
I remember reading an article about the firehouse that lost the most guys on 9/11. It was in Vanity Fair magazine. That fire house might be able to tell you.

Another group that was close to the action and cleanup issues would be the Families of 9/11. They have lots of information and data. They have been fighting for answers to all of it, as you are aware. They formed a new web page for political action Link: http://www.septembereleventh.org/

Search the NY Times, NY Observer, Wall Street Journal, etc.

If all else fails...call the present Fire Chief and ask him who the heros were.

Ask Mayor Bloomburg, the guy whose more interested in rebuilding the Trade Center than the health and unemployment in NY from the dust, stress, etc. Where did all that money go we gave to NY Rudy and Bloomy for the families, etc.? Was that part of the $5M he spent to win

Evidence was trucked away...even fire, insurance, engineers, and police investors were kept from the site. Steel shipped out of the country or melted down. You can bet, the steel was stronger than they want us to believe!!

It is a huge cover up and the people that did the destruction of evidence should be jailed...yes..Ashcroft,Rice, Rudy, Bush, FEMA,etc. It was a crime scene. One of the worst ever because it lead to destruction of two Middle East countries and their citizens also.

International investigations will be done...here and around the world. You can bet on that...since we are all in this together. Link: http://www.deceptiondollar.com/Inquiry911.htm

Bush wants all that information hidden..that's why he closed the station. Will those guys also suffer health problems and this is a good way to dump them?

Good luck.

3. Firefighters Vote to Boycott Bush Sept. 11 Tribute
Firefighters Vote to Boycott Bush Sept. 11 Tribute

August 14, 2002

The International Association of Fire Fighters voted unanimously on Wednesday to boycott a national tribute to firefighters who died on Sept. 11, in an angry response to U.S. President George Bush's rejection of a bill that included $340 million to fund fire departments.

"The president has merely been using firefighters and their families for one big photo opportunity," Mohler said. "We will work actively to not grant him another photo op with us."

"Don't lionize our fallen brothers in one breath, and then stab us in the back by eliminating funding for our members to fight terrorism and stay safe," Schaitberger said. "President Bush, you are either with us or against us. You can't have it both ways."
