Please help out Ed Schultz' new show. The screener for his national show is a friend of mine from local Dem politics. He just sent me this e-mail to help keep the call volume up. Listen on-line if you can stream at work:

The Today show will be in studio on Tuesday the 17th, and Wednesday the 18th and we need you to call. There will never be LIBERAL radio if it looks like we have no calls. I use a Macintosh (10.2.8) with Windows Media Player installed, but it says the codec is not supported.

He is advertised as the new nonconservative voice. He is supposed to be pretty good, if you can get his stream to work.

I have a new(ish) Dell XP.. I tried to listen, but I am not interested in spending hours trying to figure out what to download..I have everything already.. so if Ole Ed wants me to listen, he will have to use a more "listener-friendly" link :)

17. If you can't get the stream up

Let me know your OS, preferred media player, and any details of the problem you encountered (codec problem, intermittent loss, can't connect, etc.) and I'll get them routed to my pal his new producer and see if they can't do something to straighten them out.

The web site is a bit of a mess. You may have noticed the button labeled "Button" on the login/subscribe form.

I have been grabbing him off a nearby local station and not off the web (as my employer kills streams that last more than a minute at the firewall).

Can't stream either. Defaults to Windows Media Player and drops out every 8 seconds.

24. Here's my info...

I am using Mac OS 10.2.8. When I click the "Play" button Windows Media Player opens (version 7.1.3.0267), it tries to locate the stream, then I get the message "Windows Media Player cannot play this file because the Player does not support this codec."

As far as prefered media player, it would be nice if it worked with iTunes.

22. Honestly, I like his point of view - but his voice reminds me of

Rush. When I first heard his manner of speaking, I couldn't help but see Rush's face in my mind's eye. :scared:

But I'm sure that I'll get over it soon enough. And it's nice he's at least on while Randi is away. I sure miss her already. Frankly, it feels odd to be so picky about a Lib host. In this time slot, we actually have a choice!
