Is golf a racist Republican sport? |
|
How many minorities do you see in professional golf, aside from Tiger Woods? How many do you see at golf clubs? Folks, golf is the root of all evil in America. If we can eliminate golf we can eliminate racism which will eliminate Republican hegemony.

all the whites are on the bench.Go back 40 yrs there were few if any blacks at the collegiate or pro level due to the racism that exist in our country, but the money men realized that their were some great black players at the high school and college level so they tapped into that untapped source and wow the fan came out to see basketball at another level, the brothers could jump, glide and jam,it was exciting and the $$$ money flowed like wine,it was not the love for the players it was the the love of$$$ so the good white players had to take a seat while the brothers thrilled the overflow crowds, those are the fact, just the facts.

both golfers and both solid Dems. Of course they play at a course in between Greenville and Wolf City, Texas. Not the most hoity-toity place on earth. A club full of working class guys...my dad is an x-ray technician, my brother is an apprentice electrician. My dad's main partner when my brother isn't in town is Native American (also an x-ray tech).
Golf may have been a rich-man's sport a long time ago but a lot of average guys play now, including several on DU (GOPisEvil springs immediately to mind).

My Dad and both brothers- all proud liberal democrats- are golfers. Bros. were captains of their high school golf teams. My Dad started taking them golfing when they were very young. These were the pre-Tiger days and people always laughed at them and asked my Dad if they were his caddies. :-)
Don't anyone DARE be talkin' sh*t about my brothers!!!! ;-)

I live on a Golf Course! Plenty of 'minorities' hitting the links. Not many Blacks, because not many in WA state; however, plenty of every other stripe! Malign golf at your own risk! BTW - John Daly, hero to every overweight, 12-step taking, couch potato armchair duffer in the world just won the Buick Open! So... pbbbbft!

The club I play at has blacks, Asians, Indians, Latinos, and Republicans. We don't discriminate, although it IS obnoxious hangling out with the Republicans. But the good part is when you hit an errant ball, there's a good chance you will hit a Bush lover.
If you want to eliminate a sport that attracts racists, you need to look at NASCAR. They still fly the Confederate flag on the vehicles and you see alot of rednecks with Confederate flagged pickups, tshirts, beer coolers, etc.

At the last NASCAR race I attended, there were 160,000 people in attendance. I may have spotted 10 rebel flags before, during, and after the race. Most of those were on campers in the infield. I saw hundreds of American flags and flags of various race teams.
Why do you people keep making up this shit? Have any on you ever even been to a freaking race?

Golf USED to be a racist republican sport, but Tiger Woods did a lot to change that. Most of us golfers play on the municipal links, lots and lots of blacks playing the game. He got me interested enough to start, along with my father, brother, and a lot of friends.
Golf is a great game. (To those always arguing about whether it's a sport or not, we can at least agree that it is a game).

So take your narrow-minded opinions and stuff 'em.
Maybe you don't realize that golf takes place on municipal golf courses patronized by people from all races and socio-econimic backgrounds.
