Suspicious break in Bush's ARFs
Edited on Mon Feb-16-04 11:12 PM by jody
We know on 1 May 1973, Bush was ordered to report for nine days of training on the 22-24 May 73, 29-31 May 73, and 5-7 Jun 73 after his rating official had written that Bush had not been observed during the period 1 May 1972 through 31 April 1973, see orders at the end of this post.

The two "ARF STATEMENT OF POINTS EARNED" records released pose an interesting question because the break between the two records is very suspicious.

One ARF covers the period from 28 Oct 1972 through 24 May 1973, see page 16 at http://www.usatoday.com/news/bushdocs/5-Performance_Points.pdf . The second ARF cover the period from 29 May 1973 through 30 Jul 1973, see page 14 at the same link.

One possible explanation for the two different ARF's is that Bush did not report for training on 22-24 May 1973 but did report for training during the period 29 May through 30 Jul 1973 as shown on the second ARF which became a part of Bush's military file.

The first ARF could have been made up after the fact to depict Bush's service from 28 Oct 1973 through 24 May 1973. If Bush had actually trained on those days, then the first ARF would also show training on 29-31 May 1973 and subsequent days in June and July. The actual break in the two records is very suspicious.
