Cheney's a recipient of American "social contract"......
Edited on Tue Feb-17-04 11:15 AM by mac2
VP Dick Cheneys is on CSPAN honoring RW columnist Charles Krauathammer (Washington Post) for the American Enterprise Institute. This VP does little but appear at these groups, who are now more a political party than the real parties.

After VP Al Gore who worked so hard, VP Cheney is just the opposite. He's above the people who pay for his office..the reason he's there at all. Cheney is one big hypocrite. He's not royalty...but a product of "the American social contract".

Meeting up with Nixon, Rumsfeld, etc. is where his path went the wrong way.

VP Dick Cheney, might be a Skull & Bones guy too. The whole gang of them have been together since the seventies. His father was in government so this man has been connected to government benefits his whole life (except for his Halliburton CEO status which he obtained because of his previous connections with Nixon). His father was a government employee for the Agricultural Department.

His wealth is from his public service. Yet...he doesn't respect or want any other public servant to have a Civil Service job. They all get appointments from the American Enterprise Institute (Lynn Cheney just about runs that). Many appointments for agency heads, judges, etc. was made from there (that and the Heritage group). It's just one big click to rule with their friends. Forget if they are qualified. They're on "message and march to the same Neo Con drum" for PNAC.

It's a very sadistic message for the world...and greedy. Whole countries futures are planned by them. The kings of old, Hitler, etc. ...were "pussy cats" compared to this group.

Here's the connection.
" Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on January 30, 1941, the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. When he was 13 years old, he moved with his family to Casper in the western state of Wyoming, where his father directed the local soil conservation district for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Following his graduation from Natrona County High School, where he was captain of the football team and senior class president, Cheney headed to Yale University in Connecticut on a scholarship.

After less than two years at Yale, Cheney decided to continue his education in his home state, where he earned bachelor's and master's degrees in political science from the University of Wyoming.

He then moved to the state of Wisconsin, to work on a doctoral degree at the University of Wisconsin. As a graduate student, he won a congressional fellowship and moved to Washington, D.C., in 1968. (didn't finish his PhD.).

Cheney worked first in the office of a young Republican congressman from Wisconsin, William Steiger, and then for Donald H. Rumsfeld, who headed the Office of Equal Opportunity. When President Richard M. Nixon selected Rumsfeld as White House counselor in 1970, Cheney joined him as his deputy"

(Did Rumsfeld ever do active duty overseas? He doesn't know what it is to be in the shooting range or in the field of the enemy. General Rumsfeld? Here's his bio...http://www.defenselink.mil/bios/rumsfeld.html) He was on the National Park Commission..thus the religious messages now? Pray as the trees, oil, and minerals rumble by out of the parks? Did he set those low royalities, etc. for plundering?

We should "privitize" these guys because they want to destroy the very country that provided them with their jobs and wealth. They want to ruin it for all of us.

1. Another Bastard
Never did an honest days work in his life! Arrived at his position of wealth and privilege through connections and skulduggery and has nothing but contempt for the ordinary, working-class citizen.

2. a vibrant example of crony capitalism infecting public sevice
cut thru all of this is the predominate engine of this culture; who you know, not what you know, the avatar of this is george w bush.

the reactionary nature of such a culture was exhibited in its respose to someone like clinton who succeeded thru life more by his capabilites than his contacts.

4. And what amazing capabilities he had.
That is one reason he was always so admirable to me. He really worked his way through life.

I think that is one reason I was always drawn to Clark. Another fine example of hard work paying off, not connections and wealth.
