Probably lose out on Polish and Jewish market.

And what junkies are going on cruises? Can you imagine being stuck on a ship with Iggy?

The only time I hear Iggy on the radio is on the Jim Rome show.

The first two Pretenders' albums kicked ass, but after half of the band died...well, Limpballs can have 'em.

1. consumerism
It's like using Fortunate Son by CCR to sell red, white and blue logoed WASP-wear Tommy Hilfiger or the Cure's song of desperate obsession "Pictures of You" to sell digital cameras.

I love music and think it's pathetic attempt to harness consumerism to heartfelt compositions. Maybe I'm giving the musicians too much credit.

The sometimes a band like REM and Bruce Springteen rekindled my faith...

2. crissy told limpballs
if he wanted to use the song he had to donate the money to one of her groups, either peta or a "tree" group...so everytime he plays it another few cents goes for a good cause. as for the other commercial.
this pretty much sums it up-"beatnicks are out to make it rich,oh no, must be the season of the witch"

3. That's hilarious!
How many dittoheads do you think know about that deal.

Really righteous.

4. Putrid commercials
I can imagine this commercial is the first time many people have heard the Ramones. Led Zepplin song used to sell Cadillacs is another low point in marketing. How can that law exist that permits songs after a certain number of years after the original publishing dates? That's a law that could stand a change IMO.

5. Blitzkrieg Bop was the Ramones, not Iggy
But your point is very well taken....

6. It's a hugely popular football (soccer) fan song.
It's played a lot in many football venues in the UK and is also quite popular at many of the soccer matches here in the US.

It's a great beat and who doesn't like listening to the song?
