"Hired Guns" by Tucker Carlson |
|
It's in the latest issue of esquire and is interesting read. Carlson spends a few days with Dyncorp. which is a private contractor that is helping train the Iraqi police force. They have the contract for something like 2billiion dollars and have hired a thousand US policemen to come over and train the new force. Still not sure what I think of it but they do some crappy things like cut in line at the gas station (4 vehicles, two gas up while the other two act as a blockade with the men brandishing guns to keep people from starting any trouble) and the lines at these stations can be very long.
article is available on line at esquire.com but you gotta pay for it.

1. PAY for something by _ucker Carlson? |

Not in this lifetime, pal.
He should go back to the stagnant pool he was spawned in, along with his mentor and role model Bob Novak.
And take his bow tie with him.

the guy writes it like he sees it
mayhap through eyes wide open in awe at the right wing splendor laid out before him.
like I said, I'm still not sure what to think of the article itself, damn interesting and something of an eye opener to the unititiated. thing is, what he writes therein isn't much different than how the civilian contractors were described in Vietnam 30+ years ago
