Are the Quizno's ads cruelty to animals?
I've noticed there's a petition going around the net asking for the Quizno's ads to stop, post haste, because they encourage cruelty to animals. Are they serious?

I don't see it. All I know is, disgusting or hilarious, they have been hugely effective on t.v. Quirky, different, edgey, weird, whatever, but cruelty to animals?

Speaking of cruelty to animals, what about the animals it takes to build a big sub sandwich? Did the circulators of the petition take that into consideration? Are they against animal cruelty even if it's obviously fake, or are they vegans, against eating animals?
Which one o dese?

3. maybe it's the stuffed

6. They're cruelty to my senses at the very least
are the loins of those little critters in their sandwiches?

Some of the hippy dippy PC asswipes running around really need something to occupy their time. Cruelty to animals? Yea whatever....I guess that cartoon CatDog must be as well.

8. In the first place why would a Sub Shop want to have a
rat/vole-like creature singing the virtues of their product? I guess every other creature has been used up and their advertising buddies couldn't think of anything else for a mascot. I personally couldn't think of anything better for a spokesrat than a hunta virus-laden animal to represent my business.

Secondly it appears that the creatures are one some kind of trip, or maybe they are saying that you will have a bad trip and see little monsters running around when you eat their product. Either way that means DRUGS! dammit, and drug use supports terrrrism.

Thirdly, are you suggesting that they actually have annimals behind the counter building these sub sandwhiches? I think that would pose a health risk to the general population. If they are using animals then they sould be investing in monkeys to do the work. Once they are done building the subs they can then throw it at the customer along with their crap.

9. Could this be an old petition?
Last year, Quiznos ran a campaign showing "chef Jimmy" so preoccupied with designing the perfect sandwich that he forgot everything else. Some of it was humorous (forgot his pants). But he also forgot to feed his parakeet, and the commercial showed it (a fake one), dead in its cage. Many people saw this as condoning animal neglect for the sake of a sandwich.
