I didn't realize that Bill Schneider (CNN Political Analyst) is a -
"resident fellow" of American Enterprise Institute (AEI), a rightwing thinktank.
http://www.cnn.com/CNN/anchors_reporters/schneider.bill.html

What "liberal media" are the rightwing talking about?

I can see CNN using him as ONE of many political analysts they may use, but why is he the SENIOR political analyst?

Why would you apply such a title (i.e.,Senior) on ANY political analyst?

Looks like a rightwing media to me.

1. Let me clarify my remark....
It's not like I couldn't tell he was a rightwing stooge by his reporting, it's just that I didn't realize he was actually a member of that group.

3. Yup
He was even on C-SPAN yesterday bloviating from the heart of darkness itself, the American Enterprise Institute. Just another of the many walking conflicts of interest CNN foists upon us (Howie Kurtz is another well known example).

7. That seemed like the Twilight Zone on two channels.
I saw him smirking and saying derogatory things about all of the Dems...playing fiddle to his audience at AEI. Then I flipped to CNN and he put on his "serious face" and I could tell it was painful for him to attempt to be neutral when discussing the polls that showed Kerry and Edwards beating Smirkaholic by 5-10 points.

Doo doo doo doo...

5. I've called CNN many times about this,
saying that they should do one of three things: issue a disclaimer to their viewers with every Schneider political analysis that he is on the payroll of both CNN and the AEI, replace him as blatantly biased, pair him with another "senior political analyst" with a different political view. I have said many times that having an AEI fellow holding the title "Senior Political Analyst" at CNN, which purports to be a trustworthy news source, is outrageous.

Schneider, of course, doesn't hold a candle to the outrage that is MSNBC's Frank Luntz --

8. Victoria Clarke
was the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs. Now she's on CNN.

"Victoria Clarke was nominated by President George W. Bush to be the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs on April 5, 2001.... In this position, she is responsible for all matters relating to Department of Defense public information, internal information, community relations, information training, and audiovisual matters."

9. She's Always Identified
As a former Defense Spokesperson...Rummy's Gal Friday. Those tuning in remember her for those days and all but has a scarlett R next to her name...Schneider is another story.

Not that I think what Schneider says means a thing...and his "analysis" is generally poor on making predictions and heavy on "we told yas" when a result jives with some happen-chance correct prediction he makes. I find him amusing with very little credibility either as a "pollster" (since he never qualifies a single poll with the exact question asked or where the poll is taken, the sample size and other variables that would sure help some of us viewers that know how poll and survey results can be skewed, to base its validity).

Luntz is a total phony and MSGOP seems to be split on how to deal with this walking raccoon hat factory. Some, like Tweety do mention his GOP affiliation while others stick with purely the MSGOP title. Usually he gets the automatic click here (specifically when he attempts to play "democrat"...and tell me what I'm thinking) but is a mustsee when the Chimpster is on to see which lies and pin points Rove wants out there and how it's playing. The baffoon does some of these groups live that give away as much of his own hand as it does to those he selects (and if you don't think he's very careful on who he puts on those panels and the tube, think again).
