In Bush* 's speech today, he said : "to make life a more hopeful place |
|
for Americans and small business owners." How can you make life a place? What is wrong with his language? Is it English?

4. well with these things |

You actually can put food on your family (food fight), and make the pie higher (upstairs).
Making life a place though..... that's a unique interpretation of English.

They made "Life" a boardgame...and a cereal...and a magazine.
Hmmm, a place, though..that's a tough one.

8. Easy, have your family stand next to Bush* as he..... |
|
.....'makes the pie higher' and they will soon have food on them! (That is after the inevitable collapse of any Bush* plan. :( )

I read this on another website today. Has Bush's speech writer been reading Kennedy? (Buzz Flash)
""What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. . . I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children-not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time" -- John F. Kennedy, June, 1963 "

than anything I've heard out of this administration, ever. Wonder where we'd be if this would have been the way of the country the past 40 years.

11. English as a second language. |

Never thought Bush destroying the English language was endearing. My three year old grandson can talk in complete sentences.

|
Can Bush not read what his speechwriter wrote?
