the idea that "passion of the christ" is "right wing propoganda" just smacks of religious intolerance.

i know that the republicans claim to have some sort of lock on christianity altogether. the idea though that this is "pro bush" and should be stopped, ridiculed, whatever just plain out sucks

i am a christian, and if I believe the story of Jesus and the new testament, and it makes me a "fundie" then I wear it with pride. call me a fundie and mock me all day and night.

the notion that this movie is "anti semitic" is BS

mel gibson's father may be a moron, but that doesn't make the movie or the story bad in any way.

i just get frustrated sometimes. hearing mike bash christians because of the hypocrites that call themselves christians gets under my skin.

2. I'm with you, but I think that Gibson has caused the hostility.

They've gone out of their way to release the film to fundie church groups; that is who they have been marketing to. When you create a film and then tie it to extreme Christians, it's going to get a very strong reaction. I think that's just what Gibson wants.
