Is the NYC republican convention still going to be held at ..
the site of Twin Towers? I was appalled when i first heard about this months ago. Has the location changed?

gonna look like martial law with all the armed forces on every street corner. they'll probably put the protesters on long island....

DU should run a contest for the person, who guesses closest to nearest 10,000, how many times 9-11 is mentioned at the RNC convention.

6. Bushville will be nearby
Read this on an earlier thread. A coalition for helping homeless people will erect a tent city called Bushville (like the Hoovervilles of the 30s)near the convention. The GOP might try to lock down Manhattan, but I say good luck. Even if the protestors are on Long Island, I bet they will be heard. It will make the Rethugs wish they had opted for doing the convention on cruise ships in the harbor. Of course, if the truth comes out about the appalling way they handled 911, the whole convention could be like an albatross around Bush's neck....
