This HR2844 Bill before the House is dangerous....
Edited on Fri Feb-20-04 03:19 PM by mac2
Go to Thomas and read the bill HR2844. It gives FEMA control over everything including putting people in prison. It is allowed to hold elections for representatives 28 days after exceptional circumstances.

Type in HR2844 in the box. http://thomas.loc.gov/

FEMA has a secret budget and apparently secret government. Call your representatives and tell them this is unacceptable. It could be abused.

We have governors who can appoint Senators or legislative bodies that can appoint leaders. They can handle emergency decisions. We don't want FEMA running elections or our government in a disaster. This violates our State Constitutions and could be abused.

9/11 was scary when they took the Congressional leaders and held them without communication, etc. Was that practice for their takeover for World Government? Unelected representatives? Could they just disappear.

The shift of executive power is excessive and a could result in a dictatorship.

Call and demand answers.

1. Thanks for pointing this out.
Not to get too tinfoil hattie, but FEMA is the secret government. I would encourage everyone to do some research on FEMA and their powers. You likely will be shocked and scared.

2. Not me..
Is that old head that was a military (Marine) man gone? How does this qualify you to be a good emergency leader?

3. Look at this folks..call your representatives to say NO.
It gives FEMA and King George way too much power over our lives and government. It could negate our democracy in one disaster.

They were talking that a disaster and Marshall Law here in the US could bring Canada into the World Union.

4. I don't see anything in the Bill
that mirrors what you posted. It's basically a bill to require States to hold special elections to fill vacancies in the House of Representatives not later than 21 days after the vacancy is announced by the Speaker of the House of Representatives in extraordinary circumstances. Where are you getting FEMA and govenors appointing Senators or legislative bodies?
