Did they Lie about Laura being "A Lump in the Bed"?
Not very flattering if you ask me. No wonder Bush* is so angry all the time. Is that the new image American wives are supposed to copy? I sure hope mine doesn't turn into "A Lump in the Bed". I like some movement. :P

1. Did they Lie about Laura ??? - It was a "love" note written by Bush
who it seems does not find being "A Lump in the Bed" to be bad!

:-)

2. There was a hilarious article a month or so ago...
Laura is having lunch with fawning gop women... who express their jealously (envy?) at having a husband who writes "poetry" (when did a "roses are red" item become "poetry" to people who are past the seventh grade?)... at which Laura felt compelled to share that W hadn't written it... her saying that had been "a joke."

Which part of the story is most pathetic?
-That women were envious when they thought W wrote Laura a demeaning Roses are Red verse?
-That these women considered Roses are Red verse to be poetry?
-That Laura had to "admit" the story was fabricated as a joke?
-That Laura fabricated the story in the first place?

12. I'd go for the women
thinking that the Roses are Red verse is poetry. Absolutely appalling!

13. I think that is only superceded (in my vote)
by envy for having it written (so they thought)... in which he (supposedly) wrote that she was a lump in the bed...

Can you imagine... "oh gee, honey, you should write poetry like that for me..." Yikes!

14. Laura didn't fabricate the story. That is the work of Karen Hughes.
And I wouldn't be surprised if she were the poet, too. What a sly dig at her rival - to call her the "lump."

3. It wasn't written by Bush
It came out recently that someone else wrote it, Bush took either took credit or did not clear up the misconception.

4. Actually Laura admitted on TV that Bush* didn't write the poem.
I wonder who in the whitehouse had the audacity to refer to her in that manner since it wasn't Bush*

8. Perhaps it's just playful teasing between husband and wife...
with no hidden meaning for us to contemplate.

Just a thought.

9. I agree.
And any attempt by Democrats to try to make anything of it will only make us look really desperate. There are real issues, and this ain't one of them.

15. We will make an issue of every single deceitful thing that they do.
Because they lie from sunup to sunup. They lie on every single level. Their wars are lies, thier jokes are lies, their whole existence is one big fat LIE.

I am not ceding them any ground. I will not be ABOVE pointing out their lies large and small.

11. First she lied about the poem being written to her by George
Edited on Sat Feb-21-04 10:18 PM by Marianne
then she retracted the lie and said it was not George who wrote it. Supposedly this was first passed off as a love poem she found waiting for her attached to her pillow, after her absence from George while she went shopping and eating on her second European trip(on our money, not his) and had her hand kissed by Chretien in France, while she, in her crassness and total inability to be gracious, made adolescent type sneering or smiling faces at the camera while Chretian was doing so. We saw that picture of her stupid face looking at the camera trying to upstage Chretien.

Not surprising.

She is as crass an ass and as ignorant as all of them there Bush people.

They all lie and think it the normal way to do things.
