The bush* cabal lied and are busted in the NY Times
White House admits altering health study

The New York Times

WASHINGTON — The Bush administration says it improperly altered a report documenting large racial and ethnic disparities in health care but that it soon will publish the full, unexpurgated document.

“There was a mistake made,” Tommy Thompson, secretary of health and human services, told Congress on Feb. 10. “It's going to be rectified.”

Thompson said that “some individuals took it upon themselves” to make the report sound more positive than was justified by the data.

The reversal comes in response to concerns of Democrats and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, a Tennessee Republican. They are pushing bills to improve care for members of minority groups.

2. I can think of one truthful statement...
Though, I can't take credit for it - during the campaign in 2000, * said he was going to do for America what he did for Texas - and he has... take care of his rich buddies while simultaneously running up the deficit and destroying the economy.

5. How typical. Turd Blossom Rove now supervises the actions of every
Department in the federal government so I am confident that he is responsible for the political editing of this report. Rove also routinely gives political seminars, including polling data to supervisors at different agencies to instruct them on how they can alter the results of their work to benefit Bush and the republican party.

Though Mr. Rove's clout within the administration often is celebrated, this episode offers a rare window into how he works behind the scenes to get things done. One of them is with periodic visits to cabinet departments. Over the past two years Mr. Rove or his top aide, Kenneth Mehlman -- now manager of Mr. Bush's re-election campaign -- have visited nearly every agency to outline White House campaign priorities, review polling data and, on occasion, call attention to tight House, Senate and gubernatorial races that could be affected by regulatory action.

7. Another investigation is warranted.
“some individuals took it upon themselves”

Restitution isn't enough. We need the names of the people who took it upon themselves" and they need to be punished. Our entire criminal system is based on punishment being used as a deterrence. And if it works on the lower classes, it must be applied on the upper political levels too.

11. I'm glad you pointed that out.
It will be the subject line in the email I'm going to send to the media: “some individuals took it upon themselves”
That is a very important distinction that is the media's job to find out and its up to us to prod them into finding out!!

10. Hard to believe
This is the most depressing thing of all -- that our media is as corrupt as our current government.

The lies should be pointed out every day -- that's their job. They seldom do it.
