Good speech regarding the influence of corporations: "Washington is a 'corpora-occupied' territory. There is a for-sale sign outside of every office in Washington... Need to challenge the two-party duopoly"

37. Oh, but he doesn't own anything!
That big house he lives in? Belongs to his brother. His car? HE doesn't own a CAR, goodness! how "un-green"...His organization owns it...And he makes his slaves work 70 hours a week for 30 hour's minimum-wage pay.

This is the same bullshit you'll hear from a crooked Telly-Vangelist. "I don't even own the clothes (Armani) on my back! the MINISTRY owns it ALL! I'm just a poor servant for GAWD!"

You average "poor servant" lives in a 2-megabuck house, drives (or is driven in) nothing cheaper than a Beemer, and everything they wear is hand-made in Italy.

Ralph Nader's business is Ralph Nader. and his main product? Ralph Nader.

Really, WHAT has he done for us since he killed the Chevy Corvair? "Consumer Advocate"...Yeah, Gasoline prices keep climbing, heating fuel is sky-high, and Corporations still sell us dangerous shit and take our money and run...

40. exposing Ralph's CON Game
ANY NON-BUSH VOTES THAT CREEP INTO NADER OR GREEN WILL DILUTE THE ABB MOVEMENT (ANYBODY BUT BUSH) ... HE THINKS WE ARE STUPID .... HIS CON IS TO BASH BUSH ... THINKING HE WILL GET SOME OF OUR VOTES ... IT'S A CON GAME.

HE WILL NOT PULL OVER ANY BUSH VOTES ... IF HE BASHES BUSH ... THEY WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM .... BUT IF HE CONTINUES TO BASH BUSH, HE WILL PULL SOME DEM OR UNDECIDEDS.

looked at me across his pancakes at the breakfast table, and said, "I didn't know I was part of the liberal intelligensia till right now." He then flipped Ralph a double bird and called him a few choice words.

8. Don't panic
I voted for Nader in 2000. Won't do it this time because too much is at stake. The former Nader voters I know will do the same. I predict he gets less than 1% of the vote and will not be a factor.

13. The problem is that he could get less than 1% of the vote

18. With electronic voting, there will be no such thing as a close election
Bush needs to be defeated by a landslide. He will be. And Nader will not be a factor.

10. I like his anti-corporate message
Edited on Sun Feb-22-04 09:40 AM by gristy
I think his influence on the discourse over the next 9 months may not be a bad thing. I don't think he's going to affect the final outcome. His influence on the vote will be miniscule. But his influence on what is talked about during the campaign will be significant.

He should be mentioning instant runoff voting (IRV).

32. He's personally worth millions. How does that match up with his...
...so-called anti-corporate message?

How does taking money from the GOP in 2000 to run anti-Gore ads in the Pacific Northwest match up with his so-called anti-corporate message?

How does claiming that he would vote for Junior just prior to the 2000 election match up with his so-called anti-corporate message?

Nader is a wolf in sheep's clothing, and he has quite a few people fooled.

28. Email Ralp Nader's Ego at....
http://www.votenader.org/contact/index.php

Here is a copy of an email I just sent:
Dear Ralph Nader’s Ego:
Yes, you are correct in much of what you say you believe, however, you have no chance at all to win and provided you are not a complete f****** moron, you must know this for a fact. You must also know that any votes you receive will only serve to dilute the votes of the Dem candidate. I’m a Libertarian who is going to vote, not for the Dem, but against Bush, and make no mistake—Bush must not be re-elected.
By the way, how do you determine exactly what is in the “Public Interest”? Do you conduct market surveys and polls or do you have some sort of divine ability to know without asking?

Note: Profanity edited for posting.

30. Rather than discuss our objections, he insulted us and
called us names. That's all I needed to hear. (I really want to call him a few choice names myself right now, but I'll refrain.) I guess good old Ralph would rather cut off his nose to spite his face. Four more years of the Bu$h machine will destroy this country, then Ralph can be around to help write a constitution that isn't so 'discriminatory' against third parties.

Channeling Malloy: Have I said today just how much I hate Ralph Nader? :spank:

38. What if..
Nader pulls votes from the moderate republican base that *Bush needs.

In other words, Nader splits the republican vote. Surely there are republicans that won't vote for democrats, ever. But also won't vote for *Bush. Where else can they go, but third party?

Is this a viable prediction?
