This morning I was outraged, but now that I've had it under my belt for a couple of hours it doesn't feel so bad.
I think a great deal of the drop in popularity of Bush has come from the exposure gained from the Democratic primarys. It brought complaints to the public eye that were being ignored. Nader will just bring on more of that.
So now that I've been thinking about it for a while it occurse to me that this time will be much different than it was in 2000. Then it was presumed that the Nader vote came principally from those who would otherwise have voted Democratic, or not voted at all. This time I think he will draw from disgruntled Republicans who can't bring themselves to vote for a Democrat, and of course once again those who might not have voted at all. I don't see Nader snatching any votes from the Democratic party, certainly not from any Democrat who voted for Gore in 2000.
So maybe he is doing us a favor, I'm comming to think so anyway ....
