Anybody watching Bush speaking at Governors' Conference
What the hell is the matter with him? He's rambling and is barely coherent.

1. So what else is new?....He always sounds like that
I think God's voice in his ear is getting him all muddled....He's doing God's work, don't you know?....(sarcasm)

2. Broken teleprompter, dog ate his notes
Sounds like he's trying to speak off the cuff or from the top of his head. Dangerous work for Bush*.

5. He is SO OBLIVIOUS to the lives being lost because of his war!
I truly believe that he hasn't lost a moment's sleep thinking about all the young Americans and others who have died due to his orders to go to war....He's a psycopath!

3. Nukular Neanderthal
Sounds like a normal Bush speech to me.

My question is: Should we trust the 'Nukular' trigger to a man who can't pronounce it?

O

4. The man says 'recanize' and 'rahther' in the same breath.
Newport-Tex is not an attractive dialect.

Painful.

9. My Daily Anti-Zen
All I have to do is watch his assholiness do another photo-op, set-up press conference or rambo show at a military base to remind me of how we need to expell this squatter and return a popularly elected President and respect to our government.

I don't know how his supporters are rallying around this doofus...his stump speeches are some of the worst ever. I can see him every afternoon with Dr. Strangelove programming the latest lies and spin. It's true...this bunch of protoplasm has no soul.

16. worst. orator. ever.
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 10:45 AM by mopaul
but he's doing better than usual today. he's obviously working from a script or notes or teleprompter, but he's not doing the robot w, like his emergency speeches.

he'll be remembered as the worst public speaker ever to hold the job. hell, all presidents had a gift of gab, and an understanding of the basics of english. this guy doesn't even know what he's saying, cause he didn't write the words himself.

and he'll be remembered probably as the worst president ever, on ever qualifying level.

40. This Guy Went To Yale & Harvard????
I have to ask that myself every so often. If so, didn't he have to take a basic public speaking class?

He looks like an old hard-drive...the data has to shuffle around before it displays out...(the robot-mode you describe)...or today it definitely looks like rehearsed talking points...this was a safe house to play.

I'm kinda seeing some buckshotting going on here. The boy is trotted out early in the day for a speech or photo op/impromptu "gaggle"...that is then cut up on Faux and RW media throughout the day...from there it is the daily RNC fax that calls where it plays. Last week the gay marraige thing was an example...chimpster made a quip in a photo-op with the Tunisian ambassador and Rush and Hannity were on it like flies on shit.

Right now here's weasel-face Gillespie shooting his pie hole. Someone needs to pull out the dossier on this guy...LOL.

15. Same shit - different day
How can they let him go out and say the same stuff over and over?...How many times since Sept 12 has he used that "smoke them out of their holes..." line? Eveybody is sick of that one...even his supporters think that one is getting a bit old.

He said the war or terra was going "pretty good..." But it sounded like even he didn't believe it!

I think Bush's only chance to win is to keep our attention away from the war...terra and Iraq...He can win on domestic issues alone...so why does he always bring up the war?

Dumb stategery IMO...

24. Not the BIG speech
Evidently they just let him wing this one. It's not the big speech to the Govs- seems just a few Govs 'dropped by' the White House. Big mistake to televise this thing. It was obvious he had not had anything written out for him to read. THIS is the real Bush brain in full view of everyone.

30. Drinking?
Why is he now always talking about quitting drinking??? My husband quit drinking only 3 years ago. Never mentions it. Doesn't have to- it's over, done, and not a problem anymore. There's something wrong here with Bush that he would ever mention it.

Im picturing a West-Wing type scene:

When he broke into the drinking thing...can you imagine all the advisers watching him on TV at the white house...they must have been like "WTF - why did he say that....?"

Why bring it up at all?
