Sunday Boston Globe - Anyone see ANY news about * in front section? |
|
The Globe, for all its "liberal" reputation, is just the New England version of its corporate parent, the NYT.
Yesterday, Sunday, the headline was a poll about gay marraige. Also on the Front Page, a story about the great marketing of Mel Gibson's torture-fest movie, and something about the (yawn) Kerry-Edwards race.
But, try as I might, I could not find ONE story in the entire front section about the Shrub, or his idiot policies. There was one story that sort of mentioned something about Iraq - of course, no mention of the ongoing huge bombings, continued US casualties, admission of lies by Chalabi.
My point is, if my fellow DUers can verify this, such dereliction of editorial duty deserves an LTTE, or perhaps to the Ombudsman. How can these people call themselves a major paper, and not report on the President in the Sunday Front Section?
Comments, please.

sigh
:-)
I posted at DU the Kerry is Jewish facts that the Globe lied about -
but do you see the Globe admit error and say Kerry never mislead them?
Hell no.

4. She rarely responds to me |
|
Maybe because I keep asking how much the RNC is paying to Globe to prop up Bush.

5. Yes, I understand who I'm writing. My question is, are my facts right? |
|
Was anyone able to read thru the entire front section without reaching for the barf bag?
Did I miss that they buried the truth deep down in some articles?
If someone can verify the non-news, its worth calling them out. Like "I get more news about Bush from Don Imus than I do from you guys, and I don't even listen to Imus."
I'm a new voice to them. Maybe they will respond.

6. what about the editorial section? |
|
These days, i skim the populist first section for the beef in editorials and letters.
Knowing the editorial POV, just knowing an article's topic is enough to figure how it is spun. I usually get a coupla papers, like the times and the guardian and compare position, column inches and directional spin to reverse engineer the "real" news.
