Question: Isn't anyone concerned with what the bots are picking up here? |
|
I'm looking at the first page of GD and I'm seeing terms like 'molested children,' 'pedophile,' and 'gay.' (I'll say right now this is not an anti-gay post.)
Other forums limit what can go into the subject headers of posts, because if those words are picked up by search engines, blocking software will kick in and block the page.
So I guess my question is this: should we be concerned that a lot of people have been using words like 'pedophile' and 'molested children' in their headers? Seems to me like it'll get DU onto a bunch of Net Nanny block lists.
Thoughts? Mods? Anyone??

They've slipped off to page 2 for now.
But if we're trying to spread DU beyond regular viewers and posters, won't it hurt if those terms are included among the keywords for the site?
If I had my tin-foil hat handy, I might charge that people were using those terms to get DU blocked. But I don't, so I won't say that. ;)

2. probably should be in the 'ask the admins' forum |
|
but i think that the mods are doing an EXCELLANT job keeping this place legit and shouldn't have to worry other than maybe the adult filters out there
