Education Secretary Rod Paige: NEA a "terrorist organization"
Washington (AP) - Education Secretary Rod Paige called the nation's largest teachers union a "terrorist organization" Monday, taking on the 2.7-million-member National Education Association early in the presidential election year.

2. Second Bush term: Break the teachers' unions.
These people are mad; insane. And all powerful. Teachers as terrorists: Glad Rod Paige was honest about what he and the BushBots really think. (Refreshing, don't you think? But the sentiment is not surprising). Yeah, go ahead - vote for Nader, or sit it out. Nothing at stake here.

3. Oh the Irony

The man who is secretary of one of the most unconstitutional agencies,(besides the IRS and the alphabet soup agencies) speaks out against the NEA? I am not a fan of the NEA either, but to hear Paige rail against this is like the pot calling the kettle black (no pun intended), and it really sticks in my craw! The Federal Government has no constitutional mandate to be involved in education in the first place. There is no provision for the DoE at the federal level. Damn politicians and beauracrats!
