Does AQ Kahn spit egg on our face? |
|
Emperor Shrub has gone on and on and on about how countries who "paliferate" weapons of mass destruction (especially nookyahlur weapons) are the greatest threat to the world, Doesn't it seem that our newest and strangest bedfellow,THE MOST GUILTY of "paliferation", pose the gravest threat? What can we do now? And how far away is WWIII (i.e. Pakistan and Gandhi's country, India)?

1. Self-defense, like autonomous rule, is a privilege that can be bestowed |
|
or revoked by the US.
Think of the US as the father of a big, big family, and all its properties around the globe, (or as the terrorists call them, "other countries") as the children.
If the children disobey or defy their father, or act to impede or put obstacles in the way of the father's disciplinary actions, then the child must expect a much more severe punishment!
Pakistan and several other US properties have demonstrated both the desire and intent to obstruct implementation of US policy.
Pakistan even went so far as to obtain weapons that could make disciplinary action more difficult for America.
But don't worry. Pakistan is in supervised detention now, and they will be brought to heel.

India and Pakistan are taking steps to peace. They recently signed a South Asian Free Trade Pact.

The tension drops then builds, drops then builds. the hatred seems almost as bad as Jew vs Arab. We seem closer to a breaking point there than anywhare else/ And there are HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS who could be decimated. I see the steps towards peace. Do you think its the assurednes of mass destructionthat is keepinmg WW3 fromerupting?

4. MAD, 9/11, India's success |

Trust me, the hatred is not as bad as the Jew/Arab one. Indians and Pakistani hatred is more similar to English/French hatred in Canada, only a bit worse. Indians and Pakistanis in the West get along very well. You don't see that with Jews/Arabs and many other groups with a history of conflict.
MAD is preventing war and 9/11 has caused Pakistan to realize what can happen if a nation does not crack down on terrorism and extremism. It hasn't done enough on that front but it is progressing. Ending the terrorism is critical to achieving peace. The other main factor in the drive to peace is India's astronomical economic growth. It now is the second fastest growing economy in the world behind China. Pakistan realizes that if it does not want to be buried by India it needs to keep pace with it. It will not be able to compete with India unless it makes peace, curbs extremism, and stops terrorism. Foreign investors and foreign companies will have no interest in an unstable country which is suffering from terrorism (India also realizes this and is more willing to make concessions now). Hence it taking steps to deal with the problems of terrorism and extremism, which are the primary obstacles to peace. Envy is also a factor. It realizes that it has the potential to be as successful as India and is willing to cast away old paradigms (such as making Kashmir a required part of any settlement) in order to get on the road to success. The free trade agreement is a major development because that will tie their fortunes together. Free trade will do for them what it did for old European rivals. I don't foresee a common South Asian state but I do foresee an era of peace and friendship.

Why punish a key, current ally for past transgressions? I doubt Pakistan's government will allow this to ever happen again.

Musharef is a dictator who took power in a coup.
He controls maybe 50% of his country.
His secret police are basically Al Queda.
The terrorists who want to kill us all are largely in Pakistan.
Explain how they're our ally?
Explain why we shouldn't have invaded them after 9/11?
