When Did CNN Become The "Christian News Network?" |
|
I know that CNN over the years has been called the Clinton News Network (ah, those were the days), but lately CNN has become the Conservative News Network. (Schneider, Wolfie, Crowley, Carlson, Novak, Zahn, et al). But today, it really seems that it has been all about the "Passion" movie. However, CNN is advertising a special "Who Was Jesus" and I must say that I am about to puke. I am a Christian and I am SO SICK of these zealots pushing their view of Christ on me. Maybe that why this is somewhat of a backlash against Christianity. Howard Dean actually hit the nail on the head. We here in New England are much more reserved about our relationship with God. Why the heck is everything about spreading faith? CNN should stick to news. Secular news. Hey, maybe that is the direction MSNBC should take.

I wonder why a supposed omnipotent, omnificient, benevolent god needs the help of human beings to sell him'
That is my two cents and one of the many reasona or queries that lead me to be convinced of atheism.
I am sorry for the angst sincere Christians of one sect are experiencing against other Christians they perceive are not of the same Christian beliefs and that may be doing them harm
. Traditionally there has been this infighting since it's beginning.
In an historic old cemetary nearby here in the upper reaches of snow covered New England, there is an amusing tombstone=-I cannot remember the exact date, but somewhere around 1800.--It read--after the usual name and dates of the deceased--"Do not bury me next to a Methodist" :-)
