Gun Liability Bill in the Senate
This piece of shit legislation has Daschle and 22 other dems (including Jeffords') support on it. Senator DeWine R-Ohio opposed it saying that it sets a bad precedent for requiring civil lawsuits to have some criminal charge attached. Dick Durbin gave a great speech, including how it will support cop killing. I wish Kerry and Edwards would get their asses back to washington for a few hours and say something against this bill.

1. How does it support cop killing?

2. No civil liability for manufacturers/distributors and dealers...
Makes them become careless with who they sell or distribute their guns to. Thus, it's easier for criminals to obtain them and shoot cops.

3. So...
If they are criminally negligent, they are protected from liability?

That's horrible!

How could Daschle and the others support this cop-killing bill?

Rules to start discussion threads in the General Discussion forum

1. If you start a thread in the General Discussion forum, you must present your opinion in a manner that is not inflammatory, which respects differences in opinion, and which is likely to lead to respectful discussion rather than flaming. Some examples of things which should generally be avoided are: unnecessarily hot rhetoric, nicknames for prominent Democrats or their supporters, broad-brush statements about groups of people, single-sentence "drive-by" thread topics, etc.

This topic might be better suited for the Justice/Public Safety forum.
