my sister is pissed . . . |
|
my totally apolitical sister (hasn't voted in years) stopped over awhile ago, and the first words out her mouth when I walked into the room were "so what do you think of our jackass president?" . . . what had her all het up was, to my complete surprise, the gay marriage amendment . . . "The government has NO business in people's bedrooms!" says she . . . and then she launched into overtime pay, the environment, veterans benefits, and "Mel Gibson's Mad Max Jesus movie" . . . she'll be voting in November for whoever the Democratic nominee is . . . which is one more vote than we had last time around . . . and she says a lot of people she works with feel the same way . . .

And here's proof from the White House web page. Got this from another post yesterday. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/02/index.html "February 22, 2004 President Toast Remarks at a State Dinner for the Nation's Governors"

My sister is apolitical as well -- she's a sweetheart, but she's more into Britney and Christina than Bush and Kerry. But she absolutely can't stand *. She can't really pin it down, she just hates 'em. I've already got her registered and she'll be voting with us in November

I have met a lot of people who have had similar sentiments, and I always make sure to tell them to put their money where their mouth is.
I am glad your sister has decided to make her voice heard.
It is funny, but Bush is uniting the country against his dumb ass.

who hasn't bothered to vote in a generation has taken to refusing to use * name and only calling him "That Idiot in the White House".
She's going to vote this year and she reminds me of that all the time. Makes me feel kinda optimistic :D

7. My sister is the same way |

She votes, but is not gung ho like me. She votes for Republicans, although is not a registered Republican.
She hates Bush. Thinks he is a "fucker" and can't wait until "he loses."
My father is the typical Reagan-Democrat. Believes "Bush will lose badly."
My uncle used to be a local GOP chairman. Thinks "Bush is an animal." Also believes he will lose.

12. My 91 year old Republican mother is pissed too. |
|
She's never voted for a Democrat in her life, but has sworn to vote for our candidate in November. The "Thousand Points Of Lies" have become so bright as to penetrate even diehard Repubs.
If you know someone like that, simply ask them to WRITE DOWN their values & priorities on issues like the environment, civil rights, soaring deficits, workers' rights, Social Security, Medicare, separation of Church & State, baldfaced imperialsm, breaking laws & treaties, alienating our former allies and friends, corporate criminals, runaway media consolidation, globalization, rampant corporate lobbying power, alternative energy,...(add your own).
A short primer on PNAC, AWOL, and Diebold never hurts either.
