Is it Me, or is Gavin Newsom kicking major ass? |
|
He's getting a ton of media coverage, and taking it to Bush and the Pukes 24/7. Also love his "in your face" marriage licensing. It's driving the AM radio idiots CRAZY. http://www.sacbee.com/content/politics/story/8333728p-9263868c.html

1. I heard a sound bite of him right after Bush's trance-like speech... |
|
What a difference! Love to see him (or anyone) in an unscripted debate with the Moran-in-Chief.

Gavin Newsome is my new hero! He is so articulate and passionate. I am so proud of him for challenging this whack-job administration and its minions. Look, they have been getting away with murder fro years, doing whatever they please to enact a wingnut agenda. It's about time we started fighting fire with fire!

5. Has great potential for the future.. |
|
smart, thinks quick on his feet, brave, makes cool mocking funny faces when his opponents are saying stupid things, good-lookin' to boot..
maybe we have a future senator? Or will he forever be known as the gay marriage mayor of San Fran?
Side note: is there any way to contact Mayor Newsom?

7. He's slicker than snail snot! |
|
I live in the East Bay. First time I heard Newsom on the radio, well before the election, I figured he'd be running for governor and maybe for president in due time. However, he's not just a good campaigner/spokesman; he's also been impressive in the way he's taken the reins in San Francisco, shaking off the Willie Brown legacy of stylish do-nothing-ism and blatant patronage.

9. I've been enjoying him for several years on KFOG |
|
Gavin was a frequent morning show guest on KFOG here in SF for several years while he was a supervisor. I always found him great to listen to, even when I didn't agree which was rare. He is very quick, has all his data lined up, and is passionate about what he believes in. I expected his political career to blossom and am very pleased that it has so soon and so nationally. He will be a significant asset to the Democratic Party.

10. Maybe we should put him up against Feinstein in '06 |
|
He would probably do a better job in the Senate than SHE has been.

11. He not only defies the right-wing nuts, |
|
he also defies his own Irish Catholic traditions. If he gets ex-communicated for this, then it was for a noble reason.
Go Gavin!

for marrying non-Catholics. It's not a big deal and they don't seem to care.
