Handy Republican Voter's Guide
I found this on another site:

Voter's guide to GOP Bizarro World politics

People are having trouble understanding why anyone would be opposed to expanding Medicare to include a prescription drug benefit for seniors. That would be a good thing, right? And uncharacteristic of standard GOP principles, right?

Not really. Not if you put the proposal in GOP Bizarro World context. See, in GOP Bizarro World, up is down, black is white, and wrong is right. They aren't really liars, as some would charge. They just view reality through a different lens -- a lens unencumbered by "liberal" filters.

If you go back and review the GOP's accomplishments under the Bush administration, a pattern emerges that illustrates this quite clearly. For example:

Clear Skies: To protect our environment by reducing air pollution, allow power companies and other polluters to continue or even increase their output of air pollution.

Healthy Forests: To preserve our natural environment by protecting wilderness areas, open them up to exploitation by logging and mining industries.

Environmental Protection: To ensure the protection of our environment, neuter the Environmental Protection Agency and roll back thirty years of environmental protection legislation.

Energy: To promote new, renewable sources of energy, provide the oil and coal industries with billions of dollars in taxpayer funded incentives to perpetuate America's dependence on non-renewable fossil fuels.

Smaller Government: To reduce the size of government, create the largest federal bureaucracy in U.S. history, with 150,000 federal employees and a $40 billion budget.

Fiscal Responsibility: To ensure financial stability of the federal government and reduce the government's burden on taxpayers, run up the largest deficit in U.S. history with debt service that either guarantees future tax increases or the elimination of entitlement programs promised to the American people by previous generations.

Economic Stimulation: To stimulate the economy and get unemployed people back to work, inject borrowed cash into the economy with a series of tax cuts that do not reward or incent businesses to hire people or expand their operations but encourage consumers already struggling under massive, record personal debt to spend more, using up excess inventories and capacity and increasing our record trade deficits that exist despite massive unemployment and a seriously devalued U.S. Dollar.

Tax Cuts: Provide tax relief to millions of Americans and pay for it by reducing federal spending on programs that must now be funded by state and local governments already struggling with record budget deficits, resulting in tax increases for millions of Americans.

Corporate Accountability: To hold corporations accountable for fraud and abuse, hire former corporate heads to regulate them, and reward the plundering of employee pension funds by replacing the missing money with billions of taxpayer dollars.

No Child Left Behind: To ensure our "children is learning", establish an unfunded education program with unattainable goals that leaves poor, minority, and non-English speaking children behind and punishes the schools and teachers who work with them, thus ensuring that white, middle-class or affluent children have the option of taxpayer funded private schools.

Patriot Act: To enhance the security and to monitor the patriotism of every American citizen, enact laws that override Constitutional protections against oppressive government in violation of fundamental American principles that true patriots have fought and paid for with their lives for more than two centuries.

War On Terror: To make the world safe from terrorists, get them on the run and bring them in dead or alive by allowing them to escape and hide out in neighboring countries sympathetic to their cause where they can escalate their operations and their recruiting.

Weapons of Mass Destruction: To ensure that weapons of mass destruction never fall into the hands of terrorists, invade and occupy a country that has no weapons of mass destruction and no involvement in terrorist attacks against the U.S., while ignoring or placating countries that actually possess weapons of mass destruction and who are not friendly to U.S. interests.

Coalition Building: To protect American interests around the world and to rally world leaders around American values and objectives, insult and demean the leaders of the free world, destroy decades-old relationships and alliances, and squander the world-wide trust, sympathy, and support America received following 9/11.

Mission Accomplished: Declare victory over our enemies when they go underground to hide and conduct guerrilla warfare that costs the lives of U.S. soldiers on a daily basis, while sending more troops to provide security for friends and supporters of the administration who are being paid billions of taxpayer dollars under exclusive no-bid contracts to reconstruct and democratize Iraq according to plans that did not exist or that are made up and changed on the fly.

Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit: To help seniors who are struggling with rising health care costs, expand Medicare with new policies designed to force seniors off Medicare on to HMO programs, and throw in a prescription drug benefit that benefits the pharmaceutical companies and leaves out benefits for a large segment of the senior population, many of whom have supplemental Medicare insurance policies that already provide prescription drug benefits that will not be allowed under the new plan.

See how that works? By proposing one thing and calling it another, the GOP will be able to run on a record of progressive accomplishment on important issues such as the environment, education, and national security. "Clear Skies!" "No Child Left Behind!" "Prescription Drug Benefit!" "Mission Accomplished!" Expect to hear a lot of this over the next few months.

You can also expect to hear a lot about how anyone questioning these policies is "against us" and "attacking the president". See, in GOP Bizarro World, anyone who wants a safer, more prosperous America is a traitor.

1. I'll simplify it for you
Here's there checklist:

Does the candidate.....

...hate minorities?
...hate the environment?
...hate average working people?
...hate peace?
...hate economic prosperity?
...hate taxes?
...hate poor people?
...hate people who need health care?
...hate all other countries (Israel not included)?
...hate personal privacy?
...hate pesky investigators trying to see official confidential documents containing evidence that may pertain to 9/11?
...hate all competitors to Halliburton?
...hate everyone who disagrees with the Bush regime?
...hate people who ask for silly things like "evidence of WMDs"?
...hate sex?
...hate Bill and Hillary Clinton?

If you answered "Yes" to most of these questions, this candidate gets the Official Halliburton-GOP Gold Seal of Approval!!!
