was just shown on Inside Politics. Not that I would expect anything associated with him to be even somewhat objective, but he had Minnesota, Ohio, Florida, Missouri, Nevada as part of the "Bush base," but Texas as "leaning Bush." It looked like a bunch of crap to me.

2. Nevada is not a Bush base anymore. |

I saw that BS map and the fact that he had Nevada as a bush base after the Yucca mountain betrayal, shows me that Nofacts has his head further up his cancerous ass than I thought.

14. MN is in play in 2004 |
|
We've lost tremendous ground up here. 3 points was all that separated Gore and the thief in 2000. In 2002 we gifted ourselves GOP freak Pawlenty a scummy Coleman over a gifted, talented and seasoned Mondale, and a lot of state repukes. The swing is on and MN can no longer be taken for granted.

16. Definitely a swing state...but hardly a Bush base... |
|
I'd lean it slightly Democratic...though by no means a sure bet. Alot will depend on how Nader does.

so Bush* lost the state by more like 7%.

I was just watching the same thing. I live here in the heart of Bush country and I know that this state is not leaning toward Bush, it's already there.

Braker Lane was the Northern edge of the city limits. The last time I was through there, Round Rock seemed like an Austin suburb!

He couldn't even choke out the bs he was trying to spout. And I found it fitting he was on that silly Woodruff show spouting it. Its unfathomable just how full of crap SHE is.

said Florida, Missouri, and Ohio were solidly Bush and Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska were only leaning Bush. I am pretty sure it was a typo.

17. Is Novakula Looking At Polls |
|
I saw a post here with links recently that showed monkeyboy in real trouble in Ohio and West Virginia...two states that if we take, while holding our others, negates Florida and the Southern Strategy.
Last night McCain admitted that Arizona is very much in play (a growing Hispanic base) and so is Nevada. While I see Minnesota as a problem (c'mon you DFL people, take back your state), I think this could be remedied, along with Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and possibly even Tennessee (dream on) by putting Gephardt as the #2 on the ticket.
Someone once told me to never listen to predictions by Beltway pundits. Most have never been to the places they speak or write about or any clue to the other incidentals that affect specific races. They read polls...many that are provided by political parties and PACs (don't think Novakula gets the same GOOP talking points posted on the board at Faux?).
Methinks this is part of the "scare the base" tactic RoveCo. is using to charge up his horde and keep them from straying. He's framing his manchild as being under attack and not to take the election as a given. Thus I see a private message being sent to operatives in those "unsafe states"...to crack the whip and to divert Democrats from those states by saying there are problems in states that are now trending in our direction.
This is gonna be a very, very, very, very, very long election. If it hasn't already.

I'd say it's precisely the opposite. Texas is the only state of that group that is solidly Shrub. All the rest are up for grabs.

|
which are supposed to be so close be considered Shrub country? Novak said as much himself yet missed the obvious. By their definition swing states are in nobody's "base". Idiot.
