Dobbs & Guest hammer *
Edited on Thu Feb-26-04 07:09 PM by The Doctor
Lou and his guest, registered Repub David Cay Johnson, just spent the first 1/2 of moneyline pounding Smirk. Johnson has a book out about how the Rove Admin is gutting the middle and upper-middle class ($30K - $500K).

THey were extremely unsympathetic to * and also took shots at Greenspan. THey showed graphs to point out how much wealth has been transferred to the upper .1% over the last few years. Johnson signed off with, "if that's what you want to vote for, you should know that's what you're doing" (paraphrase).

Even devout supply-siders are mortified by this economy. Things are looking up, at least election-wise

Edit:

Lou also ridiculed Friedman's fantasy of today:

1. I have to say....
Lou Dobbs has been kickin' ass lately!!!
He's been on fire, and tonight was no exception. I think that maybe, by some miracle, a true, principled conservative has been given one hour a night to hammer this ideals home. I don't often agree with him, and there have been times (particularly post-9-11), when he's been unbearable. But,he seems to truly embrace conservative principles, and Bush's fiscal irresponsibility seems to really annoy him.
It was a great interview -- worth watching on repeat.

4. Something like
"What Friedman fails to mention, probably an honest oversight, is that our trade deficit with India stands at 8 BILLION DOLLARS".

He went on to mention another column in the LAT that was written tongue-in-cheek abou the current economy, and said, "read them both - both are amusing for very different reasons"

Ouch, babe.

3. He's the only Republican that has any actual intergrity.

If I were in Lou's position and I were a Democrat, with a Democratic president pulling this shit I would do the same thing.

Really, I do. Loved the wording of his latest poll, too.
