1. NAFTA was a rip-off from the beginning

Six presidents from Nixon to Clinton all supported NAFTA. We were told it would produce exports for the US. Yeah. Entire factories.

Less than a year after NAFTA was signed, the Mexican economy collapsed. The peso was devalued 47%.

Now, more than 10 years later, we se both the US and Canada losing jobs. The workers in Mexico are making less than $2/hr in the Maquiladora program.

Maybe they could save up for a month or two and buy a can opener at WalMart. Oops, it would probalbly have been made in China.

This is an excellent article to save for the free traitors. Did you know that university economic professors are still singing the praises for this garbage? Our kids are being totally brainwashed on the subject of free trade and outsourcing. A friend of mine had to deprogram his son after taking a course in international trade.
