Fighting for America's Veterans

This is what AWOL is up against. Kerry is going to pull a larger military vote than most expect imo. Go Kerry...ABB

"When I was in Vietnam I learned a lot about the promises that soldiers make to each other. The Marines have a promise to never leave behind their dead. In this country, as citizen soldiers, we need to make the commitment to each other that we will never leave our veterans behind.

I'm proud to be doing the work in the United States Senate today to ensure we have a military second to none, that our troops are taken care of when we send them into harm's way, and that when we bring them home we give them the respect they're due. That's a statement about American values, it's what my Dad taught me by example when he volunteered for the Army Air Corps during World War II, and it's a statement about how we can and must measure our nation."

- John Kerry

John Kerry volunteered for service in the Navy during the Vietnam War, where he served as skipper of a swift boat that patrolled the Mekong Delta. Lt. Kerry was awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star with Combat V, three Purple Hearts, the Presidential Unit Citation for Extraordinary Heroism, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, three Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medals, and the Combat Action Ribbon. He is a cofounder of the Vietnam Veterans of America and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In the United States Senate, he has led the fight to investigate the fate of POW/MIAs in Vietnam, treat and compensate victims of Agent Orange and study the cause of war-related illnesses in Gulf War veterans.

3. He will get clobbered, not just by the military vote...
but also by the parents and siblings of those in Iraq. He will also get pounded into the ground by every other voter that has more that a single digit IQ.

He has let our soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen down. The cuts in the VA assured that votes turned away from him and no one has forgotten that our people are in harms way for nothing more than lining the pockets of the rich friends of bush.

Keep the pressure on, we will win big come Nov.
