WMD Talk is Gone!
Well boys and girls. Just like every other Bush scandal....the WMD issue has come and gone thanks to the so-called "liberal" media. We used to have Woodward and Bernstein and now we have the Beltwat Boys....yikes! I thought the WMD issue would stick because over 500 of our men and women have died for the WMD lie. But now there is no talk of it by repubs, dems (even the ones running for president) and of course the media. Have you noticed all of the Cable TV shows have pretty much dropped the issue. I guess Bush so-called "independent" commission to look into the Iraq intel has killed this horribble scandal. You know damn well that if Clinton was in the WH now the media whores would be extremely aggressive over this issue, hounding Clinton day after day. So Bush and Cheney lie about WMD and they are getting away with it. What's next?

1. The Dems will raise WMD, but we need domestic issues too to win
Jobs, outsourcing, Bush tax cuts, and so forth.

11. It wouldn't be a dead issue if Clark were still running.
Hopefully they will bring it back during the GE...but first we have to pick our candidate.

3. To be accurate
WMDs were claimed, but no longer

WMDPs (wmd programs) were claimed, but no longer

WMDRPs (wmd related programs) were claimed, but no longer

I believe the Bush administration is now promoting the idea we invaded Iraq because they had WMDRPF (wmd related program fantasies) I'll let you know when they back off that claim.

5. It does not matter anymore....
no one is talking about the WMD lie anymore....certainly not substantively. Even Kerry today during his big foreign relations speech did not bring up this issue. I am disgusted. I just may not vote...I give up!

7. Perhaps....
to me the most important issue of our lifetime is 911 and why it happened and the lies from Bush about Iraq's WMD. And these 2 issues are being totally ignored by all of the candidates. Bush must be laughing all the way to the bank. Why are the dems so scared to go after Bush about 911 and his lies about Iraq's WMD? There is no mention of this anymore by the dems (and the media of course).

16. And if you didn't already have enough reason to despair,
look at this just-posted story from the San Francisco Chronicle: "Kerry says he'd send 40,000 additional troops overseas" http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x408887

"Charging that President Bush's lack of a 'comprehensive strategy for victory' in the war on terror has left the country vulnerable to attack, Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry on Friday called for 40,000 additional troops abroad and beefed-up fire and police services at home, along with improved intelligence and diplomacy efforts which he said would help America 'win this war we did not seek.'"

It's almost enough to drive you f*cking mad, isn't it? It just about does it for me. Anybody but Bush, so America can be rid of his cursed smirk, as it pursues the war with vigour.

8. You're right and you're wrong.
Yes, the WMD lies have been swept from the stage by the gay marriage issue. All according to the Rove plan.

You are wrong to allow your disgust to deny yourself a vote for a real lesser evil. That's just stupid.

9. What's there to say? They're not there.
And even is something is found, it was no gathering threat to us. Most of the American people know by now that we've got nothing to show for our invasion. People have pretty much made up their minds on this issue. They may need to be reminded every once in a while, but what is there really to say?

10. just dormant
* tried to distract everyone with the marriage amendment. But, like everything else he's tried lately, it blew up on him.

When centralair comes up in a month, all these things will be kept warm.

12. And this one will blow up spectacularly
It looks like it might get shot down in the Senate by a majority. THAT is going to be hard to spin as Dems being obstructionist because, guess what Rove, Bush, and Co, to get a majority in the Senate, that means that (gasp) REPUBLICANS will have voted it down. That will NOT look good.

13. Here's why.....but we all can do something.....
If this is printed and distributed, the word would get out. The media is dead. Understand that. But the issues can remain alive. The Internet reaches millions. This was reprinted on many sites and in many forums. Do the same. Send it around. The unanswered questions are listed in the article. They'll floor most people....

DERELICTION of DUTY
THE EXODUS OF INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM
A TVNL CHALLENGE
24-Feb-2004

In another time, there would have been questions. In another time, there might have been answers. But then again, in another time there were independent journalists.

In another time, there would have been outrage. In another time, there would have been headlines. But then again, in another time, there were relentless reporters.

But in our time, in the media, there are very few questions. In our time, in the media, there are even fewer answers. There is no outrage, and there are no blaring headlines. In our time, the government has a free hand to act with impunity and without accountability. But then again, in our time, George Bush and his PNAC cohorts are in power.

In our time, the public remains shamefully uninformed. In our time, the distractions, diversions, deceptions and delusions permeate the media. In our time, not asking is patriotic, and not knowing is the norm. If that continues, we will run out of time, in our time.

In our time, someone has to pick up the gauntlet. In that hope, TvNewsLies will review some of the questions that demand answers. We challenge the corporate media to openly and vigorously publicize the secrecy and stonewalling that have surrounded each of them. We challenge the media to pursue the answers to any or all of these questions, so that we may know the truth before the next presidential election. We also challenge the media to explain why we will not know the answers, at least not in our time.
THE QUESTIONS:

14. Maybe the Dems aren't talking about WMD, but Bush...
never seems to shut up about it. Every week there seems to be another news article about Bush and the WMD's. This past week, I remember seeing something on the web, and thought that they will never keep pushing the idea that WMD's will still be discovered and their little war in Iraq will be justified.

15. It may yet be brought up again
when Bush makes his propaganda war upon the nation.

WMD's will probably be part of our counterattack...we'll need every issue that we can get when Bush unlocks the dam of his evil corporate money.

18. It was never about weapons of mass destruction
Those were just a convenient excuse that the former dictator of Iraq handed ole Bush on a silver platter.

The whole point of the exercise was to deliver a serious spanking to a credible third world force. Iraq just happened to volunteer. It was done for the benefit, mainly, of North Korea but other third world powers as well. Message "Any sabre rattling from any of you boys and you'll get the old shock and awe treatment too." The rebuilding Iraq and brining it democracy is just meant as a salve for our national conscience. Bush knows that 6 months after the last American boot leaves Iraqi soil it will be all out tribal warfare until the next psychotic dictator unites the country under a reign of terror.
