Iran's Motives -- (capture of Bin Laden)
So, a radio station in Iran is saying the US has already captured Osama and Bush is holding him and waiting for political reasons. They say they have two sources for the info.

The Repubs are obviously going to say they are lying.

But, why would Iran lie about this?

1. Never trust unnamed sources. They usually trace back to White House

2. Another question is
I keep wondering if the creep could really still be alive? If that was him in the "Fat Osama" video, doesn't that mean he must have been near death to have been swollen up so much with those fluids? Then two months later, they had one where he was thin. Then, why no photos or videos, but only audiotapes for the next two years? It's so hard to figure out what is real and what isn't nowadays.

Part of is not having hardly any news media we can trust. Has anyone heard any reputable news on this? Is it likely he would have been able to get the health care needed to survive?

3. Actually, Iran coming up with bin Laden would be brilliant.
Libya's giving up its "massive" WMD program. If Iran shows the world (read: "the US media") they're on the side of lightness and good by coughing up Osama, then presto!

The president* can safely roll back ILSA (the Iran-Libya Sanctions Act) and start US companies competing with Japan for the oil and gas there. Japan's already in there, so the timetable's getting scooted up a bit.
