even a review of 'Fiddler on the Roof' take a shot at bush*! |
|
But why was it that when I heard the line, "May God bless and keep the Tsar... far away from us," I suddenly thought of George W. Bush? I guess it was because I saw the show the day after his no-gay-marriage announcement. column

1. I watched Fiddler On The Roof again last night |
|
Loved it. It's a classic movie.
I still get choked up when Tevye had to reject his daughter. It reminded me of my Dad when he found out my brother was gay. (He came around a few weeks later, apologized to my brother and now accepts him 100% for who he is. :D )

2. actually, I was talking about the Broadway revival but... |
|
I also LOVE that movie.
Leonard Frey (Motel the Tailor) was appearing at the Yale Rep shortly after the film came out and I met him in the lobby... it was cool for a kid in high school....
