We've got to preempt the October Suprise NOW!

Kerry and Edwards need to do several things to deflate the bounce * could get from Osama's "capture" . The first and most important is remind voters of Tora Bora, where * sent in a bnuch of incompetant Afghan fighters to find Bin Laden, while he refused to send in better trained American troops. We also heard on the radio interceptions at Tora Bora that Bin Laden was there. Also, remind people that Bin Laden's capture won't make us safer since Al Queda is a decentralized group.

1. I think that the fact that they have bin Laden on ice...
should be trumpeted near and far. When it actually happens it won't mean anything.

5. Nah, Ben=5%. No biggie.
It sounds like they must have him, or be pretty close to it. They are having to use all their ammo up early, to make the race be even halfway close.

By June, I doubt they will have much left. And the race won't EVEN be close.

That's when they will try something really cynical, like faking another Pearl Harbor.

But that may not be that easy, because a lot of people are gonna be watching for it.

Getting Ben won't save their sorry asses, no way.

6. Tin foil hat here, but I think stealing the election or even cancelling
it for some trumped up excuse or another is a possiblity. :scared:

7. They will stage a terrorist attack if they have to, just to win. Since
Saddam's capture didn't give them the bounce they wanted they can't count on Osama to have the same effect. So, I think they are going to put in a "kicker" on top of Osmama's capture, and are working on it now.

:tinfoilhat: But who would trust anything they do at this point. And, maybe much of America will see it for what it is if they capture Osama but they have to add a "chaser" to that cocktail to make sure American's are in the proper terrified, cowering mode. So, prepare ourselves. It will be some kind of "terrorist" attack to stupify the population just before the election.

8. Am I nuts or wouldn't a new terrorist attack be a negative for the
idiot in residence?

9. I'm thinking negative
They've been running around saying how much safer we are now and then Tenet goes before Congress and says nothing has changed we are still in danger but that part of the story died a quick death. So I think they are worried, big time.

10. Hard to say
On one hand it could be negative, because Kerry or Edwards could argue that * isn't making us safer. But on the other hand, * could also benefit, because many voters stay with the incumbent in the even of something like this happening. Plus, anyone criticizes * for mishandling intelligance, you can count on Hannity or Limbaugh ripping them to pieces, throwing out the "yer un-patree-otic" crap again.
