Bush/Miller 2004?
now this is one ticket we might have to consider. While I'd like it in one way since it'd allow us to kick that traitor's ass as well as *'s, the media wouldn't spin Zell Miller as *'s running mate too well. Then it'd show that * is "bipartisan" and proof that the Democrats are imploding, even though Zell Miller shouldn't be considered a Democrat in even the loosest use of the term. Good or bad?

1. Bad/won't happen
Even Zell is too liberal for Bush- at least he votes with the Dems 65% of the time. And nobody likes him, now that he's endorsed Bush for President. I think he is trying to get a position in the administration when he retires, though. Bad miscalculation, because the Dems are going to win in 2004.

when's the last time he voted with the Dems? NCEC gave him a rating of 0 for last year.

2. Bad
Don't think it could happen since there are plenty of Republicans who'd feel passed over, left behind and pissed off.

The bipartison angle might have some traction to it.

3. interesting...
,but it seems unlikely, in my opinion...

But it would not be the worst pick for them- it would certainly generate media buzz...

-- Zell. But Zell won't be available. Things are, well, stressful for ol' Zell lately. Familiar things seem odd and his everyday tasks feel blurred. He's unable to taste his Jello, for example. And he forgets to put on his underwear, or if he does remember, he can't tell you what the fly in front is for. Important people seem to come and go in his office, but he doesn't know who they are or where they came from. Some of them say he is a great fellow and slap him on the back, but others have harsh words for him and it confuses Zell.

The physicians' best instruments indicate Partisan Dissolution Disorder (PDD), or "Zell's Disease," as it's coming to be known among legal and political professionals.

Once the red tape is done, Zell will be in the best of hands but quite inaccessible to the general public. A scrappy team of handymen from a local hellfire church is almost done putting the padding up in the basement.

Bush will have to pick someone else for VP.

8. Be realistic.
Cheney will never give up being in charge. Now, a Miller/Cheney ticket is possible in 2008...
