Novak on CapGang "guarantees" job creation will begin soon!
too fricking funny

they were just talking about the actual LOSS of jobs this month....

the 21K gain was offset by 32K temporary jobs, and losses elsewhere

not to mention that those 21K jobs were apparently all in the govt sector, irony of ironies

Novak was particularly smug, asking the dems where they'd be when all those jobs started pouring in, "and I guarantee they WILL!"

too funny......the dems onset laughed at him, asking exactly WHEN this job creation will begin

light at the end of the tunnel?

just around the corner?

any day now?

just wait?

9. heh
now he's whining about the 2 seconds of flag-draped casket in the 911 ads!

as if the length of time spent on them means a thing!

it's the image's appearance that does it, you idiot!

NOW he's slamming the firefighters, too!

so is snaggletooth........

making it a dirty UNION reference.

Mark Shields NAILS their lying, hypocritical asses:

Tom DeLay and Bush couldn't get CLOSE enough to those firefighters when it served their purposes...."they wanted to be joined at the HIP to them"

could be against Bush's ad unless they were programmed by somebody"

Fuck you Novak. You're a traitor and a liar.

20. she is lucky Novak didn't hear
and try to manhandle her. There is a story about a man in New Hampshire who followed Novak out of an appearance and yelled "Traitor" at him several times - til Novak turned around and, I believe grabbed him by the collar and pushed him away (on ice - so the guy fell into the crowd.) Guess old nasty Novak has ironically thin skin.

5. Yep, just like the WsMD.
Now he's ranting about the Bush 9/11 ad. How it only lasts 2 and a half seconds and is hardly detectable. I think that's called subliminal advertising, Nofacts, which is even more manipulative, IMO. Oh wait now its only two seconds long...LMFAO!

10. Just shows how out of touch that old fuddy duddy is.
I guess No-facts hasn't seen any movies or music videos lately. Two seconds is considered an epic in these days of fast-paced images.

When's he going to make an O'Really promise to apologize to the American people if * is wrong about this?

I remember him on Crossfire back in 1993 when Clinton got the tax increase through. "The biggest tax increase in the history of the world! It'll kill our economy!" Looks like he's batting 0.

7. Even if they could create 3 million jobs by the election,
so what? There are still 9 million unemployed. I'm one of them.

Does bush really think that people who have lost their jobs, their homes, their savings and who knows what else are going to jump for joy when they finally land their low-paying McJob, yodel "let bygones be bygones" and vote for bush in November? Why? So they can feel screwed again when their McJob disappears after the election as the bush-designed depression final takes hold of America, the economy and the world? Right!

Just how delusional are these people?

12. this story is brutal on the pugs
http://www.sacbee.com/content/politics/story/8428479p-9357809c.html

The unemployment rate held steady at 5.6 percent in February, economists explained, only because nearly 400,000 people stopped looking for work and were not counted as part of the national job pool.

The data showed that since November, 716,000 people have become sufficiently discouraged that they have stopped looking for work. In addition, the average length of unemployment rose to 20 weeks in February, the highest rate in two decades.

The numbers were doubly damaging because a survey of Wall Street analysts had projected a gain of 125,000 jobs last month, six times more than were actually produced.

"This is a terrible number," said Sung Won Sohn, chief economist with Wells Fargo in Minneapolis. "The economic recovery is almost three years old, and the economy should be producing 200,000 to 300,000 jobs per month."

Sung was among a number of economists who worried that the continuing failure of the expanding economy to add significant numbers of jobs could, before long, stop the economic growth itself.

"The risk of an economic slowdown later this year has increased, persuading businesses to be extra cautious about hiring people. The sluggish growth in jobs is a big concern," Sung said. "Unless the labor market gains some steam and momentum, both real income and confidence of consumers would be hurt."

dems better pick these numbers apart and have them at their fingertips whenever the pugsters begin whistling past the graveyard

I read elsewhere that when you combine all these factors, the REAL number of unemployed is close to FIFTEEN MILLION, not nine.

anybody got that link? saw it here

and just WAIT til the three dollar/gal gasoline starts kicking in!

16. Here's something to chew on...
...according to economists who know this kind of stuff, every recession since WWII has been proceeded by significant rises in oil prices several months before the recessions began. Oil prices are near record levels again and the forecasts are for higher prices at the pumps this summer. Double dip recessions ain't fun!:nopity:

21. I want to know...
How many jobs are needed each year by high school graduates that don't attend college?
How many jobs are needed each year by college graduates?

How many high school or college graduates fill jobs vacated by retirees or death?

How many are net jobs that were not filled as a result of a vacancy?

Any other categories?

18. HaHa! The old blowhard Novakula just sputtered

"I can't hear what I'm saying!" LOL Wish I couldn't hear what NoFacts is saying.

He's arguing FOR Bush* including 9/11 scenes in his political ads. The loathsome Kate O'Byrne is also very snarky and supportive of Bush using 9/11, of course.

Someone needs to be running ads to remind people that Bush*

ignored the warnings that a big attack was coming,

lied to New Yorkers that their air was safe to breathe,

hasn't given NYC the money he promised,

hasn't given first responders the money he promised.

Good topic for Letters to the Editor, DUers! Keep the FACTS out there.
